Teacher Appreciation Month Spotlight: Sarah Gunn of Johnston ES!

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Month, we’re celebrating a school 2025 Teacher of the Year each day!  Early Intervention Program teacher Sarah Gunn, a 14-year educator, is the Teacher of the Year for Johnston Elementary School!

“Mrs. Gunn approaches her work with patience and kindness, demonstrating a deep understanding of the strengths and needs of each student,” Principal Lori Etheridge said.  “She effectively implements appropriate interventions and strategies tailored to individual learning goals, ensuring that every student has the support they need to succeed.  Additionally, she offers invaluable support to her fellow teachers as they implement various interventions.”
